Hollywood Trials aired on RTÉ TWO and proved to be a major success. With no eliminations, this was a classic ob doc series exploring the stories of 10 aspiring Irish actors taking a shot at the big time in the City of Dreams.

The ten were selected from hundreds of hopefuls by a panel including world-renowned acting coach Margie Haber; award-winning director Declan Lowney (Little Britain, Father Ted, Cold Feet) and casting director Ros Hubbard (The Bourne Ultimatum, The Lord of the Rings, The Commitments, Lara Croft).

In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the ten lived together in a 5* house in the hills for 4 weeks; were thrown into the heart of Hollywood’s entertainment industry and worked with or mentored by some of the best known experts in the industry. Experiencing highs and lows, tears and laughs, the actors braved all the challenges that Tinseltown has to offer. And the big question: could they make it against the best and brightest actors in the world?
